Let’s go back to the beginning. After travelling for more than 24 hours we were relieved to get off the plane. We collected our bags and made our way to the last check point that stood between us and Vietnam. I would later come to learn that nothing in Vietnam is done in a professional manner, nothing is organised and nothing plays out as it would seem. This would be my first taste.
